Talking Stick Golf Club is a Public, 36 hole golf course located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The facility has two 18 hole golf courses. They are The North Course and The South Course.
The older of the two courses is The North Course, opened in 1997. The South Course opened a year later in 1998. Both courses were designed by Bill Coore, Ben Crenshaw.
The links-style North Course is a refreshing minimalist design that features wide fairways void of any trees, strategic bunkering, native grasses and unobstructed views. The North Course offers players the chance to run their shots. The greens are open, the fairways wide, and the roughly carved bunkers look as if they've been there for hundreds of years.
The South Course features subtle elevation changes, fingered bunkers and heavily-treed landscaping of native cottonwoods and hardwoods.

Excellent course, well bunkered and challenging, but playable. Especially liked the purity of the greens - fast.

Enjoy playing the Talking Stick Resort courses and prefer the South Course.

Played on 7/11, about 1:00 PM. Course was in as good a condition as you will see in summer in PHX. Everything from tee to green was outstanding, no bad spots anywhere, with the exception of some bunkers being a little thin and hard. Greens were very slow, maybe 8 or 9. Excellent value as they had a $25 rate, which included range balls and a cart even though some of us walked. The design of both the North and South courses here is sort of disappointing, they are so generic that you can hardly remember a hole after finishing either course, everything looks sort of the same. Having said that, hard to beat an excellently conditioned course at a great rate in a sub 4 hour round.
